Taylor grew up in a rural farming community in Southwest Georgia. She’s always had a fondness for the outdoors and spent many summers boating on Florida’s Forgotten Coast and exploring Georgia’s Appalachian Mountains.

She followed her family’s footsteps and attended the University of Georgia, where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences with minors in Biology and Ecology. Being able to study a variety of disciplines ranging from equine science to marine biology helped her discover a passion for science communication. She pursued a Master’s Degree in Marine Sciences at the University of Georgia where she furthered her experience and knowledge of marine science communication, education, and outreach.

She joined Discovery Hall Programs in 2023. She also enjoys SCUBA diving, reading books, eating fresh boiled peanuts, and attending UGA football games.
