Identifying plants and animals is a useful skill and important for evaluating environmental impacts such as after a disturbance event or to gauge the success of restoration, conservation, and management. When complete, students will be able to identify the 100 most common plants and animals in coastal Alabama, determine causes for organisms’ distribution, quantify biodiversity, and statistically compare biodiversity changes across space and time.
