The Alabama Marine Mammel Stranding Network assisted in the rescue and release of a spotted eagle ray on June 19. 

The spotted eagle ray was observed doing cirlces in shallow waters. Working with the City of Orange Beach Coastal Resources, the Orange Beach Wildlife Center and Management Program, and the Marine unit of the Orange Beach Police Department, the ray was successfully captured, administered medicine and then released into deeper water.
