The Estuaries and Coasts Journal tapped University Programs Chair Dr. Ken Heck to serve as Reviews Editor for the next three years. The journal is a frequent publisher of DISL research. 

Dr. Heck will assist the Co-Editors-in-Chiec with soliciting reviews on current research. Reviews are a synthesis on a topic covering what's been learned, and the remaining questions. 

Dr. Iris Anderson of the Virginia Institute of Marine Science previously held the position. 

The Estuaries and Coasts journal is the journal of the Coastal And Estuarine Research Federation. Dr. Heck and several DISL faculty and students attended the CERF 2017 conference. The CERF 2019 conference will be held in Mobile.
