You can lend a hand in November to protect and enhance the beach habitat on Dauphin Island. Volunteers are needed to plant native vegetation on the East End Beach on Saturday, November 19.
We've teamed up with the Alabama Coastal Foundation for this project. Volunteers will help by planting sea oats and panicum amarum grass to secure dunes during storms, maintain a healthy beach, form new dunes, and provide habitat. Planting will happen between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m.
