Madison Academy's 7th grade students got up close and personal with a sturgeon during their 15th annual trip with Discovery Hall Programs on February 10.

DHP’s Greg Graeber said the sturgeon measured 5 feet and 8 inches. The rare fish was released.

Madison Academy teacher Margie Smith was with the group and she said the students describe the experience as, “awesome, majestic, favorite moment.”

“Thanks Greg and the captain for sharing the experience,” Smith added.
