The Estuarium geared up for the summer season by hosting its annual docent training at the beginning of March. Seventeen volunteers attended the training with 8 being new docent/volunteers.

The class was led by our world-class marine educators and aquarists. Some of the docents that attend class every year said they learn something new each time they attend class.

As an added bonus, the semi-annual docent boat trip fell the day after training. More than two dozen docents boarded for a beautiful day on the water. Several on board were winter volunteers that will head north at the end of the month.

The next docent boat trip will be in the fall.
