Observations from GRACE: Climate Change and the Water Cycle (virtual)

Dive into NASA’s Gravity, Recovery and Climate Experiment-Follow On (GRACE-FO) Satellite mission to bring climate and the water cycle into your classroom! Explore data generated by GRACE-FO and examine the relationship between the water cycle and climate change with interactive lessons and games. Lessons and slides will be shared with participants.
This 90 minute workshop is limited to 25 participants. A stipend and participation certificate will be provided upon completion.
Target audience: middle and high school educators
This fun-filled workshop will include:
- An introduction to the Sea Level Rise Education, Awareness and Literacy program
- Several lessons handouts with hands on activities and a slide presentation that support current NGSS standards which will increase students understanding of how climate change is measured, its relationship to sea level rise, the impact it has on the water cycle and how they can help make a difference.
- Reflection and discussion of how to implement the provided materials
- Easy access to NASA educational resources
